How much did you sell or pay for LPG (cooking gas) in the month of April 2021?

During the Second week of May, we asked Nigerians via our social media pages on Facebook and Twitter, how much they bought or sold LPG in the month of April, we didn’t get much response this time, but still, some interesting insights, see summary below;

Where we got multiple prices for a location, we use the average price. Surprisingly, the highest cost for a 12.5kg LPG was N5,375 in Uyo, followed closely by Kaduna and Port Harcourt at N5,000.

We had a rather surprising lowest Retail price at Taraba from a Seller who mentioned that he sold at N4000 per 12.5kg lower than prices in Lagos state,

Price was lower in Benin at N4500 against the month of March. It was N4800 in Jos, Osun and Ijebu Ode.

International LPG (cooking gas) price effect on local prices

International LPG prices haven’t changed much in the month of May, return above 400 USD/MT for Butane. We expect retail prices to remain the same.See you when we share the May report.
