Nigeria LPG industry dips by 13% for the month of August from over 100KT in July and June 2021
The Nigeria LPG industry shrunk by 13% to a total LPG volume of 96,526MT for the month of August 2021, from 118,000MT in June and July. See July report.
PPPRA figures show that there was a significant reduction in the volumes of LPG supplied by NLNG for the month of August – a massive 46% drop at 21,878MT from 40,198MT in July.
LPG figures breakdown revealed 85,264.803MT was mainly Butane while 11,262.040 was mainly Propane, with Kwale Hydrocarbon Ltd in Kwale contributing over 86% of the propane volumes.
For the Butane volumes, 55% of the volumes came from Import while the balance 45% came from local with NLNG taking 57% ( lower than 71% in the previous month) of the local volumes.
