Add-on LPG facility is for those who may have an existing Petrol Filling Station or lease from an owner with the aim of setting up a mini LPG plant alongside the already existing facility.
For this kind of Plant licensing, it is essential that the existing Petrol Station should be at least 1300 sq meters in size so that it can accommodate both facilities without any issues. Secondly, the existing facility must have been fully licensed to operate as a filling station. The License number will be required to apply for approval as an add-on LPG facility.
The good thing about this type of application is that the requirements are less tasking when compared to that of a conventional plant as some of the documents required may be waived provided the existing filling station already has that in place.
The maximum storage allowed as per NMDPRA guideline for Add-on is 10 tons.

Another interesting thing about this type of application is that once the land is big enough, such applications hardly get rejected because of the already existing facility but it can also be a little tricky depending on the location.
