Weekly Mont Belvieu Propane – Butane prices – July 30th, 2021

Our assessment for last week daily Mont Belvieu propane and butane in USD/mt (5% and 5% up respectively on weekly average):

26th July: 564.6; 576.0

27th July: 564.0; 578.0

28th July: 565.0; 581.8

29th July: 576.7; 589.9

30th July: 585.8; 595.4

LPG Butane prices hit the highest in more than 2 years to set a new high of 595 USD/MT on the 30th of July, 2021, almost hitting the dreaded 600 mark.

On the local side of the market, the highest depot price was N7.35 Million per 20 MT. Retail prices also remained around N5000 to N6000 per 12.5kg across the country and we expect this trend to continue in the coming week.
