Weekly Mont Belvieu Propane – Butane prices – October 15th, 2021

Our assessment for last week daily Mont Belvieu propane and butane in USD/MT (2.3% down and 0.9% up respectively on weekly average):

11th October: 766.8; 730.7

12th October: 756.8; 721.7

13th October: 741.3; 719.6

14th October: 758.2; 738.1

15th October: 770.8; 752.1

LPG Butane (Mont Belvieu) prices continue to rise and closed at 751 USD/MT  from 722.5 USD/MT in the previous week. Propane closed at 770.8 from 759.8 in the previous week, avoiding the 800 band.

On the local side, depots prices continue to rise as LPG prices hit 10.2 Million Naira per 20MT at the end of the week . Most Depot in the South – South were without stock during the week. NLNG cargo which normally comes with a lower landing cost didn’t affect market prices for the local LPG.

Retail prices for cooking gas remain relatively high at N7,500 to N8,000 range  per 12.5kg in locations nationwide.
