On Thursday morning, a fire broke out at the Mobil fuel station near Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Way in Ikeja, Lagos State. The blaze erupted around 10:49 a.m., on August 8, 2024 during a busy fuel sales period, leading to widespread chaos and significant damage.


A video shared by X user Dubem, under the handle #Dub3m__, captured the fuel station engulfed in flames. The post read: “Mobil filling station, near Lagos Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikeja on fire right now. #LAG_FireService you are needed asap.”

    We were not able to get the specifics of the accident but we do know that it was gas related.
