LAGOS STATE OWNED - IBILE OIL AND GAS CORPORATION GETS CERTIFICATION

LPG in Nigeria reports that IBILE Oil and Gas Corporation is a Lagos State-owned company established by law in 2013 to invest and engage in energy activities in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of the industry. The corporation, however, commenced operations in the 3rd quarter of 2016.

The name IBILE is an acronym for the five divisions in the state, including Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos, and Epe.

VISION: A commercially viable entity, contributing to the growth and economic development of Lagos State. Resilient, competitive and flexible upstream and downstream oil and gas-oriented business. Consistent delivery of business promises. Operates and delivers in a socially responsible and safe manner. Developed and vibrant Oil and Gas Artisanal capacity and skills in the State. Develop mutually conducive relationships with Communities and Federal Government.

MISSION: To build an integrated and competitive oil and gas business that consistently delivers value for stakeholders and creates sustained positive social impact.

The Oil and Gas Corporation launched five Liquefied Petroleum Gas stations by the fourth quarter of 2020.     

The Lagos State-owned Oil and Gas Corporation announced its certification in quality management systems, occupational health and safety management systems, and environmental management systems.

According to a statement issued by IBILE Oil and Gas, the company has ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.

It read, “The certifications demonstrate IBILE’s commitment to continually offer high-quality product delivery, trusted service, and responsible operations while ensuring minimal impact on the environment and demonstrating a duty of care to the customers and stakeholders.

“We are committed to ensuring service delivery is done on behalf of Lagos State and in alignment with the agenda of Governor Babajide Olusola’s administration.”

According to the statement, “The ISO certifications—ISO 14001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018—are a testament to the foundation and structure of IBILE’s quality system and drive to execute excellently.”

This certification ensures their services meet the needs of consumers through an effective quality management system in the delivery of downstream and gas commercialization businesses and operations, for procurement, storage, transportation, retail and distribution of Premium Motor Spirits (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Lubricants (High Quality and Affordable Engines Oils) and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG).
