LPG Prices rebound mildly
LPG prices went bullish, but largely range-bound, moving marginally upwards for both Propane and Butane, in what looks like a rebound.
Propane averaged $373.6/MT, reflecting a 3.9% week-on-week increase from the previous $359.4/MT.
Butane settled at a weekly average of $396.4/MT, marking a 3.4% increase from the previous $383.5/MT.
Prices are likely to remain range-bound till the end of the summer.
Crude Oil prices increased against the previous week's close. Several factors are driving crude oil prices: Trump's Nuclear threat to Russia, the US tariff penalties. Other news that could impact oil prices downwards is the return of over 500,000 barrels per day of oil to the market by the OPEC+.
WTI closed the week at $67.37, down from $65.52, while Brent rose to $69.65 compared to $68.38 in the previous week
Nigeria LPG Market: Bearish trend persists
LPG depot prices continue to fall across depots nationwide, driven by Dangote price reduction - LPG of Off-takers price at Dangote stays at 14.6 Million per 20MT from 16.1 Million in the previous week. Prices dropped further in Lagos, with most depots selling at 16.2 million. In the South South, prices were between 16.2 million and 16.8 million per 20MT.
We expect a further dip in prices in the coming week in response to Dangote's LPG price reduction.
Retail LPG Prices drop in response to depot prices
Retail LPG prices remained relatively stable nationwide, with prices in Lekki hovering around N12,500 for a 12.5kg cylinder.
