The price of cooking gas rises between N890 to N900 per kilogram in Lagos and Ogun states, while the original price of 20 metric tonnes was about N13,500,000 for 20 metric tonnes.
With the new rate of N14,000,000 per 20 metric tonne in storage, it is clear that the price of cooking gas will increase to N1,000 per kilogram and more, depending on the proximity of any LPG station . The latest continuous increase in commodity prices in the country is due to domestic and international supply restrictions.
Currently, only few LPG stations have cooking gas in their storage tanks; as they feed their customers. This shortage in the country is inevitable if the supply situation does not improve in the coming days.
Let's discuss, how is the situation on your end?
