LPG Prices go bullish
Both Propane and Butane prices finished bullish in response to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Prices broke the $400/MT limit for the first time in over three weeks, following the Israeli-Iranian hostilities during the week. Propane closed at a weekly average of $393.2/MT, while Butane settled at $400.9/MT, down from the prior week’s averages of $375.0/MT and $380.7/MT, respectively.
Crude Oil prices jump from Geopolitical Tensions
Crude oil prices were up by more than 8 percent at some point during the week as a result of the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran- a situation arising from the recent Negotiations and an independent international report which suggests Iran may be closing in on developing a Nuclear weapon.
WTI closed at $73.28, up from $64.49 in the previous week, while Brent also increased to $74.43 from $66.25.
We also observed that the easing of OPEC+ production cuts and weakening global oil demand did not lead to downward price adjustments as expected.
If the Geopolitical situation persists, we may see oil hitting $80 very quickly.
Nigeria LPG Market: Depot prices remain unchanged.
