LPG Price trend is still range-bound
LPG prices are still range-bound; hardly moved, dipping slightly during the week.
Propane averaged $345.8/MT, reflecting a 0.2% week-on-week drop from the previous $346.4/MT.
Butane settled at a weekly average of $372.2/MT, marking a 0.8% drop from the previous $375.2/MT.
Prices are likely to remain range-bound till the end of the summer.
Crude Oil Prices also range-bound:
Crude oil prices hardly moved compared to the previous week’s close. Traders were undecided, awaiting the outcome of the planned meeting between Putin and Trump. A peaceful outcome of the meeting could mean more supply in the market, leading to more dip in prices in the immediate term.
WTI ended the week at $63.37, down from $66.31, while Brent moved a bit to $66.31 from the prior week’s $66.27.
Nigeria LPG Market: LPG Price dips slightly
LPG depot prices dipped slightly as more LPG entered Apapa. LPG prices went as low as N16.6 Million per 20MT in Apapa, while at Stockgap depot, LPG was also sold for N16.6 Million per 20MT. Kwale Hydrocarbon Limited sold at about N16.1 Million per MT.
According to reports, Dangote refinery is scheduled to conclude the RFCC repairs in the coming week, which could lead to a return in LPG production and also a return to previous price levels.
Retail LPG Prices drop in response to depot prices
Retail LPG prices remained relatively stable nationwide, with prices in Lekki hovering around N12,500 for a 12.5kg cylinder.
