LPG Prices – Still Range-Bound

Global LPG prices showed no significant movement last week. The market remains range-bound, mirroring the general directionlessness seen in crude oil.

Propane: averaged $308.7/MT, down 1.8% from last week’s $314.4/MT.

Butane: averaged $394.2/MT, up 1.3% from last week’s $389.1/MT.

Crude Oil – Prices Slide Further (WTI: $57.0 | Brent: $62.12)

Crude oil prices fell last week amid expectations of easing geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine, despite ongoing sanctions on Russian exports.

Weekly Close:

WTI: $57.0 (down from $60.09)

Brent: $62.12 (down from $64.39)

Outlook: A sub-$60 per barrel environment remains likely given current market signals and geopolitical developments.

Nigeria LPG Market – Depot Prices Drop in Lagos, South-South Remains Tight

Nigeria’s LPG market saw notable price reductions at Lagos depots, while prices in the South-South region remained largely unchanged due to the absence of new cargoes in Port Harcourt and nearby terminals.

NAVGAS prices dipped to ₦17.7 million per 20MT

Other Lagos depots sold around ₦18 million per 20MT

Dangote Refinery LPG was sold as low as ₦16.5 million per 20MT, though prices have since edged upward due to delayed loading operations. This may indicate tighter-than-expected availability for December.

Based on current calculations, the landing cost for imported LPG is around ₦17.5 million per 20MT, which should serve as a practical floor price (excluding Dangote) as we approach December.

Retail Cooking Gas – Prices Stable Nationwide

Sources report that retail prices remained steady, with most locations selling between ₦1,300–₦1,500/kg nationwide.

Prices are expected to ease after the festive period once current supply volumes fully filter through the market.
